Tauheedul Islam Girls’ High School (TIGHS)

Tauheedul Islam Girls’ High School and Sixth Form College in Blackburn is an 800 place 11-18 girls’ secondary school, which includes a 200 place sixth form. It is a specialist humanities school. Like all Star schools, it also has “Leadership” as a specialism.

TIGHS was Star’s first school and has a strong history of excellence in every aspect of school life, achieving Ofsted ‘outstanding’ on four consecutive occasions, including most recently in October 2022. In school league tables, TIGHS consistently ranks extremely highly on a range of attainment measures, including being the top school nationally for progress and overall performance in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
