Change of name marks the start of an exciting new era for the Trust

On Monday 2nd July 2018, Tauheedul Education Trust changed its name to Star Academies. The Trust has come a long way since its first free school, TIBHS, opened in September 2012. It has grown from strength to strength since then, expanding to include 24 schools in 5 partnership areas across the country, and has developed into an inclusive and vibrant family.

The Trust’s name has been changed to reflect its diverse network of schools and the Trust’s commitment to both educational excellence and social mobility. The new name looks to the future, but remains rooted in the Trust’s history. It promotes the Trust’s core values of Service, Teamwork, Ambition and Respect and supports the Trust’s vision of nurturing today’s young people, inspiring tomorrow’s leaders.

The renaming of the Trust marks the start of an exciting phase in its development. Star Academies will continue to work closely and collaboratively with its family of schools in the service of young people, so we can all be proud to say that ‘We are Star’.
